Your guided walking experience could be one or more days, this provides greater opportunities for you to explore the mountains, discover new places, develop your skills and fitness and absolutely have time to enjoy your experience in Wales. The question then remains, where to stay?
ROC Outdoors will be more than happy to recommend tried and tested campsites around Wales. Mountains, moors, waterfalls, streams and a stunning coastlines mean that Wales is full of tempting destinations for wild camping. You might think, therefore, that wild camping might be tolerated out in the more remote areas of the country but Wales, as in England, the law on wild camping is very clear. Wild camping without the permission of the landowner in Wales is not allowed and there are no exceptions to the rule.
However, that doesn’t mean you can’t go wild camping in Wales – it just means that to keep it legal, you must seek the landowners’ permission before you pitch your tent and also you must leave no trace.
Being respectful of the land, wildlife, flora, fauna and ensure everything that came with you, leaves with you.
The National Park Authority offers great advice on Wild Camping and is clear in its advice that you must seek landowner permission and should always take care to leave no trace of your stay.
