A guided walk in the Brecon Beacons. A full day which will take you to the four highest peaks within the National Park.
Pen Y Fan is the highest mountain in South Wales, the approach will be from the South East providing exceptional views of Pen y Fan & Central Brecon Beacons. It also offers an alternate route which is more peaceful and slightly more challenging than the Pont ar Daf route to the summit.
The planned route will take you past waterfalls, open views of the glacial valleys and up onto the mountains.
The first of the four peaks to scale is Fan y Big. At 716m, with its epic ridge line and views from the diving board, both are spectacular. Then it is on to Cribyn, a prominent peak at 795m before onwards and upwards to Pen y Fan. Lastly, its Corn Du or Black Horn in English. This second highest mountain in South Wales which is well worth a visit at 853m, with its majestic views of the glacial lake at Cwm Llwch. The summit marked well by a Bronze Age Cairn.
